Camera access and your data.

Camera permission is used only for blink-related eye landmarks and the optional local Preview. Camera images, facial landmarks and blink analysis are processed in memory on your Mac. They are not recorded, uploaded, sold, shared or retained after processing.

BlinkTide has no proprietary account and uses no advertising, analytics, telemetry, cloud storage, remote AI, paid APIs or tracking.

What stays on your Mac.

BlinkTide retains no camera, biometric, behavioural, calibration, preference, diagnostic, error-log or aggregate activity data after the app closes. Settings and guided-calibration thresholds exist only in memory for the active session and are discarded when you exit.

The app has no statistics dashboard or local history database. It never stores camera images, screenshots, facial landmarks, eye geometry, custom reminder text or a personal profile.

Your choices, always within reach.

Change or revoke camera permission in macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera. Without permission, camera-based blink reminders and the Preview are unavailable. You can also pause reminders in the app. Guided calibration does not create a saved facial profile.

Purchases are handled by Apple.

The app offers a seven-day free introductory trial and an optional annual subscription. Apple StoreKit manages trial eligibility, expiry, billing, cancellation, purchases, restores and access verification. It may communicate with Apple and require your Apple Account.

BlinkTide receives only transient product and access-status information needed to show the purchase flow. It does not write Apple account identifiers, transaction records, receipts, prices or trial dates to files, preferences, logs or databases, and it sends no camera or blink data to StoreKit.

You choose what to send us.

If you email the developer, Ivan Vigorito, at info@kerny.it, your address, message and attachments are handled by the email providers involved. BlinkTide never sends email or camera data automatically. Request deletion of a support conversation from the same email address.

No ads. No tracking.

The app does not share or sell app data or track you across apps or websites. It uses no IDFA, cookies, fingerprinting, marketing SDKs, advertising SDKs or crash-reporting services. BlinkTide is not directed to children.

Why we process the limited data we receive.

BlinkTide does not collect personal data through normal app use. When you voluntarily email support, we process the information in that message to respond to you, provide support, prevent misuse and protect our legal rights. The applicable legal basis is your request before or during support, and our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the app. Apple processes Apple Account and payment information under Apple’s own terms and privacy information when you use StoreKit.

Retention, deletion and your rights.

Camera frames, facial landmarks and blink analysis are discarded immediately after local processing. BlinkTide retains no in-app personal-data record after the app closes. Support email is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to answer and close the request, or longer only where a legal obligation, dispute or fraud-prevention need requires it. You can request deletion of a support conversation by emailing us from the same address.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability for personal data held in support email. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise a right, email info@kerny.it. We may need reasonable information to verify that a request relates to you.

Security and data protection.

The app is designed to minimise data handling: it does not create a BlinkTide account, sync camera data, maintain a cloud database or make developer-controlled network requests. Camera processing occurs locally in memory. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited support information we receive, but no email system or electronic transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

This policy covers the macOS app. Changes to how the app handles data will be reflected here and in App Store privacy details before release.

BlinkTide is a productivity reminder, not intended for medical use. Blink estimates are not health measurements and must not be used for medical decisions.
